Pearlettes
Governed by the Rho Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated
Pearlettes are girls ages 4 to 9 years old who are mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to become outstanding leaders in their community.
History
The Pearlettes were adopted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated as a National Youth Auxiliary during the 74th National Conference held in Orlando, Florida in July of 1994. The Pearlettes are girls 4-8 years old.
Rho Chi Zeta Chapter’s Pearlette Club was established on Saturday, December 5, 2005 with seven (7) members. The members of the Pearlette Club participate in community service projects. By doing so, members will not only enrich the lives of others, but learn the importance of giving back to the community. Some of the projects include helping younger children, visiting senior citizens and participating in community walks and drives.
Rho Chi Zeta Chapter's Pearlette Club strives to expose its members to cultural, educational, and social opportunities at an early age. The sisters of Rho Chi Zeta Chapter have the youth participate in activities which increase self-esteem, develop leadership skills, personal etiquette and social skills by building strong minds, bodies and spirits. The young ladies are involved in activities that will foster productive citizenship. They are taught to always strive to reach their maximum potential by giving and serving with a cheerful heart, loving their sisters with unfailing kindness and treating everyone with respect.
